Our golf simulator technology and tracking system work by collecting crucial information about your shot, including club head speed, club path, and face angle, together with critical elements of ball flight, including ball speed, launch angle and direction. This data is analyzed instantly as the ball appears on the screen.
Our ball-flight model is constantly being updated with feedback based on the newest golf technology. TruGolf has over 15 years of Ball-flight data collection, testing, and fine tuning.
Golf Simulator Technology
Triangulation is a way of determining something's location using the locations of other things. It is commonly used by geologists to find the locations of Earthquakes, and is used to determine spacecraft location.
TruGolf golf simulators use
this same technology.
The information obtained from this is then used for ball flight direction, ball speed, and launch angle.
Club Head Sensor
Our simulator uses a high speed infrared sensor array to gather information about club head speed, path angle, and club face angle (at approximately 100,000 samples per second). Ball spin is then derived from our advanced ball-flight algorithms. Unlike other simulators, the TruGolf Simulator not only tells you what your ball flight is doing, but it also tells you why. These elements translate into extremely accurate ball flight and swing analysis.
