It's a rare occasion indeed when you have the opportunity to play one of the most popular courses on the PGA Tour. And more rare still to play where Arnold Palmer plays and lives in the winter.
The championship Bay Hill course sweeps across 270 acres along the shores of the Butler Chain of Lakes. Bay Hill features 27 holes of unmatched golf. The 18 hole Championship track is show cased each spring as one of the most popular stops for the PGA Tour with national television bringing the event into the homes of millions. It's a demanding test of golf for pros and amateurs alike, but eminently fair.
Golf Digest rated this course as the 6th "Best in State" for the years 1995-98. Golf Digest also named it 89th on its "America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses" list for 1996, and 97th for 1997-98.
GOLF Magazine chose it 21st in the category of "Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the U.S." for 1998, and 91st under the category of "America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses" for 1998.
Arnold Palmer redesigned the Championship Course in 1989 with the help of Ed Seay. Arnold Palmer is also the club owner and president of the Bay Hill Club & Lodge.
The Bay Hill Club has hosted 26 annual PGA TOUR events, as well as the U.S. Junior Amateur, in July of 1991.
