Firestone Golf Course

Industrialist Harvey Firestone originally created Firestone Country Club in 1928 for his employees. Completely redesigned in 1959 by Robert Trent Jones, Firestone's South Course has become one of the premier stops on the PGA Tour and home of the NEC World Series of Golf.

Course Information

  • Course designed by Bert Way, opened in 1929
  • Course redesigned by Robert Trent Jones in 1959, followed by Jack Nicklaus in 1986
  • 75.1 rating/128 slope
  • 7139 total yards from championship tees
  • 18 holes, Par 70

Annual host of the PGA Tour's NEC World Series of Golf Tournament.

The South Course has played host to 5 Rubber City Opens, 8 CBS Golf Classics, 14 American Golf Classics, and 3 PGA Championships.

Measuring at 667 yards from the championship tees, the 16th hole plays as one of the longest par 5's in all of golf.
