The South Course at Torrey Pines

 

Torrey Pines Golf Course

One of the most popular LINKS Championship Courses, Torrey Pines South has been the site of a PGA Tour event since 1952. A truly spectacular natural setting for golf with the surging Pacific Ocean and steep 300-foot canyons.

Course Information

  • Course designed by William F. Bell, Sr., opened in 1957
  • 78.1 rating/143 slope
  • 7607 total yards from championship tees
  • 18 holes, Par 72

The PGA Tour's Buick Invitational Tournament has been staged at this San Diego municipal course since 1968.

Torrey Pines is scheduled to host the U.S. Open Championship in 2008.

The South Course was redesigned by Rees Jones in 2001.
